Prospective undergraduate students and their families are invited to tour our department, theatres, shops, and learn about our degree programs on various days throughout the semester. Outreach Coordinator Dina Canup will lead the tour and discussion, which begins in the Fine Arts Building lobby and lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Feb. 20 and March 27 will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Fine Arts Building lobby (park at the North Campus or Tate Center parking deck). Dates and times subject to change.  You may also want to plan to see a UGA Theatre production on or near the date of the tour.

APRIL 17, 2026 - Behind the Scenes Day: 

• 9:50am - Prospective Students Check in
• 10am - Department Tour and Information Session 
• 11:30am - Visit Senior Showcase Class or Visit our Light and Sound Lab
• 12:30pm - Walk to Bolton Dining Commons with current theatre and film majors to have lunch
• 2pm - Choose a Workshop:
  • Auditioning
  • Technical Theatre and Stage Management
  • Film Production
• 3pm  - Tea and Biscuits with the student dramaturgs of Sense and Sensibility
• 4pm  - Q&A Discussion with current students and faculty
• 5pm  - break for Dinner

• 8pm Sense and Sensibility in the Fine Arts Theatre or see a film at Cine (or you may prefer to see the show or a film the evening of the 16th)

   

• NOTE: This weekend is a busy one in Athens! There's the Twilight bike race downtown and the G-Day spring football game, so plan accordingly if you'd like to check either or both of those out -- or else to prepare for traffic or hotel challenges. G-Day is the reason for cancelling the additional community events planned for the 18th. Our building is very near Sanford Stadium.
