Film Studies Major The major in Film Studies provides an in-depth study of cinema as an art form including the history, criticism, and theory of film along with hands-on opportunities in classes including production, directing for cinema, digital effects, editing, writing, and animation. Film Studies explores the medium's aesthetic, technological, economic, and cultural aspects through a wide range of topics, including some interdisciplinary courses with other departments.
