Fine Arts Theatre UGA’s Department of Theatre and Film Studies will be holding a socially-distanced in-person Designer Showcase Gallery for the graduating and second-year MFA Design class of 2021. Though the pandemic has proven limiting to theatrical productions across the country, our students worked with industry professionals to develop sets, lighting designs, and costumes for three unique productions. Jones Caroline, or Change (Tony Kushner) – Guest Director: Amanda Watkins Peter and the Starcatcher (Rick Elice) – Guest Director: Justin Anderson We invite you to join us in observing and celebrating our students’ work in the Fine Arts Theatre on April, 6, 7, 9 from 2:00pm – 6:00pm, and April 10 from 10:00am – 5:00pm. And on April 10, you can also meet the designers from 1:00pm – 5:00pm. This event is free and open to the public, but masks are required and social distancing will be enforced.
