SHANDRA L. MCDONALD is an award-winning screenwriter, director, and producer with more than 30 years of experience in the television and film industry. Her projects have earned accolades from the Director's Guild of America, Atlanta Film Festival, IFP Film Festival, Hollywood Black Film Festival, Showtime Black Filmmakers Showcase, American Black Film Festival, AFI, and the 48-Hour Film Festival. Shandra has written, directed, and produced original content that has aired on networks including, Showtime, Oxygen, TV One, CBS, BET, NBC, TLC, The Discovery Channel, The Fine Living Network, Aspire/UP TV, and the Turner Networks. Shandra's film projects have screened at international festivals, including the British Film Institute, the Cannes Film Festival in France, and the Fespaco Film Festival in Ouagadougou, Africa. She has projects streaming on Amazon Prime and iTunes. She recently directed a short film titled "I'm Fine," where she's won awards for her writing and directing.  Ms. McDonald produced two independent feature films in the summer of 2022 - "Oldhead" (shot in Philadelphia) and "Forgetting Christmas" (shot in Maryland). Oldhead is currently streaming on APEX/Live Nation. Forgetting Christmas was recently screened in the academy-qualifying Martha's Vineyard Film Festival 2023. Ms. McDonald is actively growing her film-production company, Kiss the Limit Productions, Inc., while proudly teaching graduate students writing, directing, and producing at the University of Georgia. Shandra is the Director of Production for the second-year MFA Graduate film students in Fayetteville, GA, near Trilith Studios.
