Philip Brankin

PhD Performance Studies

Philip Brankin is a doctoral student in Theatre & Performance Studies at the University of Georgia where he also received his MFA in Dramatic Media. His research involves technological interventions in queerness and queer performance strategies in digital spaces. Before his graduate studies he was based in his hometown Chicago where he worked with Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Second City, About Face the Piven Theatre Workshop, Little Bulb, and Chicago Opera Theatre. While living abroad he worked with Contact Theatre among other theaters in Manchester, England where he created Lost & Found Festival.
