Room 400 | Fine Arts Building Spike Jonze’s Her (2013) is an unlikely comedy about a recently divorced and timid man (Joaquin Phoenix) and his increasingly unsettling relationship with the voice of the new operating system on his phone (Scarlett Johansson). This movie struck a cultural nerve just as AI became increasingly visible and intertwined with our daily lives. Her won an Academy Award for its script, the AFI Film of the Year award, and the Art Director’s Guild award, among many others. The introduction and discussion of this film will be presented by Dr. Vivian Appler. Wednesday, November 16 2022, 7pm
