Marty Lang is an award-winning teacher, independent filmmaker and journalist. He has written and directed two feature films, STAY WITH ME, named Best Feature Film at the 2023 South Georgia Film Festival, and RISING STAR, released worldwide by Content Film in 2013. His producing credits include the 2020 Sundance Film Festival world premiere web series THE RIDE, the 2016 Indie Spirit Award nominee OUT OF MY HAND, and CHOMPY & THE GIRLS, featuring Udo Kier, released internationally in 2021 by Freestyle Digital Media. He has served on the film faculty of Quinnipiac University, the University of Central Arkansas and the University of Memphis. He also created the Connecticut Film Industry Training Program, a nationally-recognized, state-sponsored workforce development initiative that ran from 2008 to 2012.
